Agnes Dempsey life long resident of Wylie passed away at the age 98 on Mar. 20, 2017 in Wylie, TX. Agnes was born in Wylie on February 24, 1919 to parents George Burns and Ida Griffin Burns.  Agnes married Herman Dempsey on July 7, 1938 at the First Baptist Church in Wylie.  Agnes had worked at Temco, Varo, and Collins Radio as a Quality Control Manager.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church-Wylie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Dempsey; her parents, George Burns and Ida (Griffin) Burns; one brother, Tommie Burns; three sisters, Naomi Thompson, Peggy Speaks and Alma Faye Anderson; one grandson, Craig Clemmons.

Agnes is survived by her daughters, Gail Dempsey Clemmons of Wylie, TX; and Beverly Dempsey-Moody of Anna, TX; three grandchildren, Blake Clemmons, Dr. Camille McCue and Marcus Moody; nine great grandchildren, Nickolas Clemmons, Dana Clemmons, Jason Clemmons, Christopher Clemmons, Macy Moody, Ian McCue, Marshall Moody, Carson McCue and Maximus Moody and great-great granddaughter, Tallyn Clemmons.
