Alfred Von Stein III  (1930 – 2023)

Alfred was a devoted husband, father, and son.  Alfred was a long-time resident of Texas. He was born at Baylor in Dallas, Texas.  Alfred excelled in business, community, and family ties.  After Woodrow Wilson High School graduation in 1948 he went straight to the Marines.  Alfred served his country from 48-52 and left the Marines with many honors.   He then immediately enrolled in and completed his Bachelor of Science in Finance at North Texas State University in 2.5 years.    Alfred was the valedictorian of his graduating class.  Alfred later enrolled in Southern Methodist University Law school.  Alfred served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or President for several major companies during his career.  Alfred established many lifelong friendships.  Alfred attended Hillcrest Baptist Church most of his life and later attended Wylie.

Alfred met and married his wife Joanna in 1959 and was married 62 years.   Alfred is preceded in death by his wife Joanna Von Stein.   Alfred had three children, Sharon Von Stein (Kazeem), Susan Von Stein, and Alfred Von Stein the IV.  Alfred had three grandchildren, Madison Cooper, Alfred Von Stein V, and Shaelyn Von Stein.

Alfred had many close neighbor friends both young and old who were part of his life in the end.  Alfred passed away peacefully in his sleep at his long-time home.   Alfred will be missed.
