Angela Gayle Michalow, age 61, was born to Pat and Wendell Stewart on February 6, 1957 in Ely, NV. She passed away on July 26, 2018, in Wylie, TX.  Gayle graduated from Basic High School in Henderson, NV.  She married Leroy Michalow on November 9, 1979 in Henderson, NV.

Gayle had a lifetime love of cooking and baking and known for her skills as an amazing baker and phenomenal cake decorator. While stationed overseas, Gayle taught cake decorating and cooking classes in both the Philippines and Japan. Gayle and her husband owned a bakery in Dallas, TX. Because of her love of baking and teaching others, she returned to college later in life and graduated from Texas Women's University with a Bachelor's Degree in Consumer and Family Sciences.  She taught Consumer and Family Sciences at Ennis High School, Poteet High School, and retired from teaching after her time at Wylie High School.  Gayle's greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and had a passion for traveling the world.  Gayle often combined these two passions by taking her grandchildren on overseas trips.  Gayle was lucky enough to have visited 6 of 7 continents, over 50 countries and all 50 states.  Gayle was also an amateur radio operator "KG5QCP".

Gayle was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and held many positions in the Church.  Her most memorable position was that of Activities Committee Chairperson, where she planned many activities for church members and members of the community.  Gayle's beautiful spirit and wonderful personality helped her excel in this position and she was able to serve her fellow members with a loving heart.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Michalow of Wylie, TX. Children, Amber Renee Woodward of McKinney, TX; TJ Michalow (Kaycee) of Carrollton, TX; Amanda Rae Masters of Wylie, TX and Ali Renee Castro of McKinney, TX.  7 Grandchildren. Parents Pat and Wendell Stewart of Henderson, NV. Siblings Vickie Vincent, Wendy Sapp and Tom Stewart.  She was preceded in death by Sister Tammy Stewart.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018, at the LDS Meetinghouse at 400 Sanden Blvd, Wylie, TX 75098.
