Betty Jane Richards, 78 of Nevada Texas passed away at New Haven Nursing Home in Wylie.  She was born to Paul and Hazel (O'Brien) Busser.  She retired from the U.S. Post Office in 2006, then enjoyed raising goats until she moved to Wylie for Memory Care.  She loved her family, friends and all animals, especially her goats. She was always up for fun, helping others with a beautiful smile on her face!  Survivors include her daughter Terri Pescatore, her son Tom (Doris) Richards, her daughter Jane (Donnie) Avrit, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her brother Charles (Faye) Kreger.  She was preceded in death by her father Paul, her mother and step father Hazel and Joe Engles, her son Brock, brother Paul and sister Mary.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 6:00 - 8 :00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home.  Her funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. also at the Allen Funeral Home with Dr. A. L. Draper officiating.  Betty will then be laid to rest in the Nevada Cemetery.
