Bobby Ray Ballew, 87, of Wylie went home to his Lord on Friday, July 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Wylie on Friday August 24, 1934. His parents were the late Lee Roy and Ocie (Woods) Ballew. Bobby married Jeanita Jones and they lived in Wylie and raised their 4 children.  Bobby worked for the Wylie Independent School District for many years in the Maintenance Department as a Janitor.  Bobby was a member of the Lavon Baptist Church.

Surviving Bobby is his wife Jeanita Ballew; children, Susan Ballew, Bobby Ballew, Kenneth Ballew, all of Wylie; and 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded by parents, Lee Roy and Ocie Ballew and a son, Ricky Don Ballew.

The family will have visitation on Thursday July 28, 2022 on hour prior to the funeral service, 9:00 AM - 10:00 A.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  The funeral service will commence at 10:00 A.M. also in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel directly after the visitation.

Bobby will be interred at Thompson Cemetery in Nevada.
