Bobby Glen Ellis, aged 67, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2022 in Dallas, Texas with loved ones at his bedside. He was born April 6, 1955 in Dallas. He was an active member in his church, Wylie First Assembly of God, donating his time and talents wherever needed.

Glen leaves behind his son, Brandon, and Leigh, his wife of 45 years. He is also survived by his mother, Aline Ellis, and his sister, Jeannie Smith. Glen is preceded in death by his son, Cameron, his grandparents, and his father Bobby.

Glen had a passion for being outdoors. He loved tinkering on things in the garage. During healthier times he enjoyed being on cruises with his family, riding around on his motorcycle, going on fishing trips, traveling to Little Sahara for dune buggy rides, and taking camping trips with friends. He would also make sure to capture these moments on video. Everywhere you went with him, he either had his Camcorder or his GoPro in hand. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels toys, playing his bass guitar at church, and watching old westerns. He had a love for animals. Glen had many over his lifetime, most recently he cared for a cat, Morris, and three lovable dogs: Brigit, Biscuit, and Marco.

If you could only describe Glen in one word, that word would be selfless. The thing that he loved doing the most was helping other people. He was always there for others whenever they needed anything, whether it was borrowing one of his trailers, help working on a vehicle, or simply to use his tools, Glen was always there. He found joy in assisting others when they needed him. He was the kindest, most honest, and most patient man you would ever meet.

The centers of his love were his wife, son, and mother. There isn't anything in the world he would not do for them. He enjoyed spending time with them, and he continued to inspire them to keep on believing in what was right and to keep the faith that better things are to come.

We are blessed and thankful for everyone who helped care for him in his final days. Although he will missed deeply, we can find comfort that he is in Heaven waiting for us to join him. We will see you soon. We love you very much!

Visitation is Sunday night August 21, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral Services are Monday August 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wylie First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kerry Sampson officiating.  Internment will follow at the Wylie Cemetery.
