Bob Chaney, 82, of Wylie, Texas passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 in Garland, Texas surrounded by his family.  Bob was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on May 19, 1934 to Robert Arthur Chaney and Edna Faye (McLaughlin) Chaney.  Bob grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School.  After high school Bob joined the United States Army and was stationed in England during his enlistment.  He was a courier for the Army traveling between United States bases and English bases delivering dispatches.

Bob met his future wife, Suzanne Seabourn in Florida.  Bob had gone to Florida to work for Chaney and Hope Construction Company.  Suzanne's father was his construction superintendent and they met through him.  They married on February 27, 1959 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Bob was a Master Plumber and started his own business in Mesquite.  He and his boys ran Commercial Plumbers of Dallas until Bob had a stroke in 1984 and became disabled.

When Bob wasn't working he would go fishing every chance he got.

Bob was a member of the Wylie Church of Christ.

Surviving Bob is his wife of 57 years, Suzanne Seabourn Chaney of Wylie; children, Mark Harlin Chaney, James Robert Chaney, Brian Seabourn Chaney, and Steve Chaney; and his 6 grandsons, Thomas James Chaney, Marcus Truman Chaney, Michael Austin Chaney, Warren Carter Seabourn Chaney, Ryan Steve Chaney and Mitchel Travis Chaney; and many other family members and friends.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Minister Eric Hogue officiating.  Bob will buried at the Wylie Cemetery.
