Charles Wesley Lansford, of Hawkins, Texas, born on March 4, 1933 in El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away at age 85 on September 22, 2018 in Watauga, Texas. Charles married Geraldine Thompson August 22, 1953, she preceded him in death in 2015. He is survived by 4 of their 5 children: Wes and wife, Stacy; Tony & wife, Gail; Byron (who preceded him in death) & wife, Lynette; Holly Mackley & husband, Chuck; & Candace Teel, 18 grandchildren (one of which preceded him in death) & 23 great grandchildren.

Family was very important to Charles and he loved having all his children and grandchildren around. He always looked forward to family get-togethers and wanted everyone there. Charles loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and studied it often. He enjoyed teaching at church and loved to serve others. He was always willing to share anything he had. He was kind, funny and often the life of the party. He enjoyed a good laugh and was known for his teasing nature. He was a caretaker for his wife who required his full attention as she declined with Alzheimer's. He is now relieved of his suffering and reunited with family that have gone before him.

Friends and family members may attend the visitation on Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2509 Trophy Club Dr, Trophy Club, Texas, 76262. Following that, there will be a funeral service from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The memorial service will follow from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, Inc, 508 Masters Ave, Wylie, Texas, 75098, (972) 442-2234. He is being laid to rest at the cemetery located there.
