A much-loved mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother  Cheryl (Sherry) Boyd of Allen, Texas, passed away on Wednesday April 24 ^th . She had  bravely confronted and fought oral cancer. She was born February 23 ^rd , 1945 and resided in Allen, Texas.

She is survived by her sister, Shelia Wylie; her daughter Kelly Miles and husband Frankie of Allen: daughter Cynda Culpepper and husband Brian of Allen: son Roger Boyd and wife Amy of Goodyear: granddaughter Brittany Griffin and husband Blake: granddaughter Lacy Vandergriff: grandsons Brock and Blake: and  great granddaughter Kinley.

She was an amazing cook, enjoyed working in the yard, and taking care of the dogs. Spring was her favorite time of the year. She loved to plant lots of flowers and hang many hanging baskets. Spending time with her grandkids, and all of their friends was something she loved that made her very happy.

She was an inspiration to everyone she met, and they all loved her. Everyone called her Memaw.The love of her life HEHE (Roger) called her Geesie. He even named their boat after her.  THE GEESIE.

While there are many memories, our fondest memories are turning on Alexa in the kitchen and dancing to Frank Sinatra, Oldies, and country music.  And boy, could she cut a rug.

Rest In Peace mom, you were loved dearly.  You are with Pop now.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday April 27 ^th 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, Wylie Texas.

The family will receive friends and family to celebrate Sherry after the service at Kelly and Frankie's house.  1220 Carolyn Ln. Allen, Texas.
