Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Witemeyer Teller, 57, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 28, 2026. Born on September 20, 1968, Cindy grew up in North Dallas, Texas, where she built the foundation of the warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit that would define her life. She graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in 1987 and, through determination and perseverance, and with a 10-year plan, earned her Bachelor's degree in Business from Amber University.
Cindy had a gift for connecting with people. She never met a stranger and never kept anyone at arm's length as mere acquaintances. A social butterfly in its purest and most beautiful form, Cindy built friendships that lasted a lifetime. Among those cherished friendships were Patti, whom she met in seventh grade; Aleesa, whom she met during her freshman year at Abilene Christian University; and Kodi, who came into her life in 2016 when their daughters became best friends.
Her spiritual home was Waterview Church of Christ, where she grew up attending and where her faith and sense of community were deeply rooted.
Cindy's professional life reflected both her creativity and her dedication. She gained her cosmetology license and worked as a hairstylist before beginning a long career as a telecom analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she served for twelve years. After retiring in 2016, Cindy continued to pour her energy into the people and community around her, serving as a volunteer social director for the Sage Creek HOA and remaining endlessly involved in the lives of her children, friends, and neighbors.
Family was the center of Cindy's world. She first met Brett William Teller when he was in seventh grade, and she was in eighth grade, and they reconnected several years later. After dating beginning in 1999, they married on April 12, 2003, and built a home together in Wylie, Texas. Their daughter, Heather Ann Teller, was born on March 9th, 2004, and their son, Nicholas Adam Teller, on October 17th, 2005.
Cindy loved being a mother more than anything. Whether as a proud dance mom or band mom, she was always supportive—cheering the loudest, loving wholeheartedly, and reminding her children to always be true to who they are. She taught Heather and Nick to let their light shine, to show grace to others, and never to judge someone too quickly.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Hilda Hampton Witemeyer. She is survived by her loving husband, Brett William Teller; her children, Heather Ann Teller and Nicholas Adam Teller; her father, Wayne Witemeyer; her brothers, Wes Witemeyer and Chad Witemeyer; her brother-in-law, Donald Teller; and nine nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward. Also, her beloved dogs: Luna, Rex, and Koda.
Cindy's kindness, laughter, and ability to bring people together created a circle of love far wider than most people experience in a lifetime. Her absence will be deeply felt by the countless lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Waterview Church of Christ.
