Dan 'Papaw' Cooper, 78, of Wylie, TX, joined his family in Heaven on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  He was born on November 3, 1943 in Wylie.  His parents are the late Everett and Pauline Cooper.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Nell 'Mamaw' Cooper, his children Janice, Greg, Brad and their families, and everyone who called him Papaw.

Papaw is remembered as a loving grandfather who loved all of his grandkids and great grandkids. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing whenever he could. Lake Texoma will never be the same.

Services will be held on December 14, 2021 at Lonestar Cowboy Church in Nevada, TX. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.  His funeral service will begin at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeff Parsons officiating.
