Daniel Christian Herke, 47, of Plano passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 after a kayaking accident.  Daniel was born on Friday, April 7, 1972 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Jerry Herke and the late Sharon (Waddell) Herke.  Daniel was employed by Collins Aerospace where he was an electrical engineer.

Daniel is survived by father, Jerry Herke of Sarasota, Florida; twin brother, Mark Herke of Grapevine, brother and sister-in-law, Brian Herke and Shelley Herke of Rowlett and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

The family will celebrate Daniel's life on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Wylie.
