Darryl Lane Housewright, 68, of Garland passed away at his residence on August 8, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1952 in Dallas. His parents are the late George Oscar and Lena C. (Smith) Housewright. Darryl owned a trucking company and he loved motorcycles and riding them, especially Harley Davidsons.

Surviving Darryl is his uncle, Glen Housewright of Wylie; aunt, Eula Brundidge of Wylie; cousins, John Housewright of Bells, James "Jimmy" Housewright of Ector, Judy Adcock of Wylie, Taron Korthauer of Wylie, Sue Packor of The Woodlands, Danny Housewright of Plano, Joanie Housewright of Mansfield, Sandra Christopher of Wylie and Belinda Irvin of Dumas. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lena Housewright, his brother, Dennis Housewright and his friend, Vickie Schrick.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. at Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Darryl's funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. August 13, 2020 also at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in the family plot in Wylie Cemetery.
