Doris Evelyn Dykes passed from this life to meet her Lord on June 19th, 2024.   She was 91 years old.

Doris was born December 27th, 1932, in Dimmitt, Texas.  Her parents were Clayton McMaster and wife Laverne.  Doris lived in Morton, Texas and graduated from Morton High School.  She met Willis Dykes, the love of her life, shortly after High School and they were married on May 26th, 1951.  They were married 52 years until Willis's passing in 2003.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Willis, her parents, her brother Kenneth McMaster and grandson Darin Delgado.

Doris is survived by 5 children:  Wylie Dykes and wife Cindy of Blossom, TX; Kerry Dykes and wife Patty of Blossom, TX; Tami Sanders and husband Kevin of Wylie, TX; Dee Ann Cummings and husband Jim of Detroit, TX: Valarie Delgado and husband Frankie of Wylie, TX.

13 Grandchildren:  Steve, Kyle, Jay Dykes; Cody Dykes, Courtney Krogman;  Kaitlynn and Gracie Sanders; Jared and Jeremy Cummings; Travis, Macie, Max, Sophie Delgado.

11 Great-Grandchildren:  Colton Clymer, Avery Lazo, Cooper Dykes; Nolan, Emory, Weston Dykes; Jaxon Dykes; Carter, Collyn Dykes; Ava Krogman; Casen Cummings.

1 Great-Great-Grandchild: Jake Clymer.

Doris and Willis moved to Wylie, TX in 1966 when Willis began his work as a Minister of Wylie church of Christ.  They had short stints at Howe church of Christ and Sachse church of Christ.  Wylie was always Doris's home until the day she passed.  Doris had a multitude of friends and loved ones in Wylie and loved worshipping at the Wylie church of Christ.  She saw the church in Wylie grow from a small congregation on second street to what it is today.

She will be missed by all!
