Dorothy Newsom, 89 years 5 months and 28 days, went home to her Lord on Sunday May 16, 2021 in Plano, Texas.  Dorothy was born on Thursday November 19, 1931 in Corsicana, Texas to parents Joseph Ray and Rhoda Truman (Johnson) Conard.  She married Joe Dee Newsom on August 23, 1957 in Collin County.  Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plano.

Surviving Dorothy: her son Chuck Newsom and his wife, Suzy Newsom, of Plano, son-in-law Gary Taylor of Buda, Texas, brothers Donn Conard and his wife Pat of Plano, Phil Conard of Cayuga, Texas, grandchildren, Lacie Taylor, Lanie Beckham, and her husband Matt Beckham, Bonnie Taylor, Joshua Newsom, and his wife, Raquel Newsom, and great grandchildren, Edie Beckham Simon Beckham, Truman Beckham, Eli Newsom, Eve Newsom, Levi Newsom, Gideon Newsom, Talitha Newsom, and Sojourner Newsom, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Truman Conard, husband Joe Dee Newsom, daughter Donna Gayle Taylor, sisters Jean Conard Kyle, and Jane Frizzell, and brother Kenneth Conard.
