Edward Howerton, 78, of Wylie, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Richardson at Methodist Medical Center.  Ed was born in Camden, Arkansas on Thursday, August 15, 1940.  His parents were the late Earl and Dorothy (Mann) Howerton. He had served in the Army National Guard.  Ed worked retail for major food stores in the management of the stores. Being from Arkansas, Ed was a huge Razorback fan. Ed was married to Mary Ellen (Hill) Howerton for 36 years before her passing November 17, 2016.

Surviving Ed are his sons, Richard G. Wood of Wylie and Timothy Boyd Howerton of Bellevue, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren and his great granddaughter.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorthy Howerton, his wife, Mary Ellen Howerton and daughters, Pamela Moss and Lanette.

Ed will be returned to Arkansas to be buried next to Mary Ellen at the Pleasant Home Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
