Edward Douglas McLendon, 76, of Wylie passed away in Richardson on Friday, March 1, 2019.  Edward was born on Sunday, March 8, 1942, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  His parents were the late Lacy Little and Mildred (Scarborough) McLendon.  He met Brenda Jo McCorkle and they married on January 11, 1964 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Edward was a Vice-President with Bank of America.

Edward is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Jo McLendon of Wylie; children David Douglas McLendon of Dallas, Brian Tracey McLendon and his wife, Melanie of Wylie and Cindy Penley of Lenoir, North Carolina; his two grandchildren, Sean and Bree as well as a host of friends.  Edward will be laid to rest at a later time in North Carolina with Military Honors.
