Elida F. Martinez, a longtime resident of Wylie, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday,
June 7, 2025.

Elida was born on September 17, 1932, in Kemp, Texas to Ignacio Fuentes and Encarnacion
Rodriguez Fuentes.

She married Henry Martinez, also a longtime resident of Wylie, on December 10, 1949. They were
devoted to each other and shared 75 years of marriage.

She lived a long and beautiful life filled with faith, kindness, and devotion to those she loved.

Elida is survived by her husband Henry, sons Mark Martinez, Robert Martinez, daughter Ann Price
husband James all of Wylie, along with 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved sons Eugene, Ronald and Ernest and sons Henry
and Jesus who died at birth.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at St Anthony Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Viewing
will be from 6:30-9:00 pm and Rosary will begin at 7:00.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Anthony Catholic Church on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11:00
am with Father Tony Densmore officiating. Elida will be laid to rest in St Paul Cemetery.
