Emma "Emmie" Elizabeth Fuller, age 87 was born in Cuero, TX on Oct. 12, 1930 to Anton Schroeter and Nellie Elizabeth (Crowder) Schroeter and passed away on Dec. 12, 2017 in Garland, TX. from natural causes. Emmie was the eldest of nine brothers and sisters and twelve half-brothers and sisters.  She is predeceased by her husbands, Elmore Kenneth Melton, Sr. and Don Carlos Fuller II.

She is predeceased by a son, Robert Elmon Melton (surviving daughter-in-law Anna) of Borne, TX.  Emma is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ann Melton Garrett and son-n-law Mike (Wylie, TX) and Don Carlos Fuller III and daughter-in-law Wendy (Greenwood, IN). Grandchildren include Kathy Goddard  (husband Chris) of Meadow Vista, CA., Rachel Jones (husband Justin) of Flowermound, TX, Stephen Garrett (wife Rebecca) of Ennis, TX and Brett Garrett (wife Kim) of Wylie, TX.
Great-grandchildren Gabriel, Elias, Naomi of CA.; Robert "Robbie", Owen, Kailey, Kori, Gavin, Kyler of TX; Ethan, MacKenzie, Jackson and Joshua of IN; and a host of other relatives and friends.

During her time with us, she was known to be passionate about life, fiercely loyal, honest, always with a cheerful greeting, loving always, and doing for others. Emmie was part of "The Greatest Generation" and having been raised during that time she had a very strong work-ethic, tenacity, and great determination.


Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  A celebration of Emma's life will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. First Baptist - Wylie, Draper Chapel which she attended.  Dr. Stephen Garrett, grandson, will officiate.
