Eugene Fuentes Martinez was born on July 18, 1952, in Wylie Texas.  He passed on Thursday, October 12,2023  after a ten-year battle with cancer.

His parents are Henry and Elida Martinez also of Wylie.

A lifetime resident of Wylie, Eugene was one of six children.  He graduated Wylie High School in 1971.

He was a dedicated employee for Benco Dental since 2004 until his retirement in 2020.

He was a lifetime member of St Anthony's Catholic Church in which he did preparation for altar servers and services as well as various other duties.  He sponsored countless confirmation students.  He was awarded the Dallas Diocese Volunteer of the year award and he was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He had many joys in life, honoring his mother and father always. He was a role model to his brothers, sister, and especially to his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother Henry, brother Jesus, brother Ernest and brother Ronald.

He is survived by his parents Henry and Elida Martinez, brother Mark Martinez, brother Robert Martinez, sister Ann Price husband James, nieces Selena and Brenna, nephews Rob, Ernie, Ryan, Aaron, Landon and Joey and a few great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October b17, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
