Fannie Mae Fast, 91, of Nevada went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2018 after a short illness.  Fannie was born on Friday, March 11, 1927 in Wylie, Texas to Ernest A. Frederick and Lula Belle (Ellis) Frederick.  Fannie grew up in Wylie and attended school here.  On March 17, 1947 she married the love of her life, Calvin Arthur Fast.  Fannie was an excellent seamstress and went to work at Johnston's Children's Clothing Factory.  It wasn't long before she was a lead lady on one of the sewing lines.  She attended the Assembly of God Church.

Fannie is survived by her grandchildren, Amy Marie Fast, Ryan Blake, Dillon Blake, Nathan Blake and Morgan Johnson; her 6 great grandchildren, Lincoln Blake, Sutton Blake, Gracyn Blake, Emsley Johnson, Keaton Johnson and Ruby Johnson; her 2 brothers, Doodie Frederick and Tommy Frederick and numerous other relatives.  Fanny was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Calvin Fast; son, Calvin Arthur Fast, Jr., daughter; Glenda Sue Blake; and her granddaughter, Krista Fast.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services for Fannie are Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Emerson Porter will officiate.  Fannie will be laid to rest at Ridgeview Cemetery in Allen.
