Frank Edwin Garner was born on August 12, 1945 in Dallas, Texas.  Frank (Eddie) passed from this life surrounded by family on April 29, 2024 in McKinney from several conditions.  He was 78 years old.

Frank was the son of Rufus Edwin and Mary Dell (Shelley) Garner.  He was the oldest of two boys.  Frank graduated from Wylie High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from East Texas State University.   Frank began his career in education in Garland.  He quickly moved into administration when the family moved to Princeton.  Frank served the students and community of Princeton ISD from 1972 until his retirement in the capacities of High School Principal, Business Manager, Assistant Superintendent and finally retiring as Superintendent in December of 2001.

Frank obeyed the gospel early in life and called the Church of Christ located in Melissa, Texas home beginning in 1954.  Frank was an active member of this congregation his entire life and strove never to miss a service.  On April 7, 2024 Frank taught his last lesson entitled, "The Journey".  It was the last time he was able to attend because of his health.  Everyone that knew him will agree that his faithfulness and love of Christ was extraordinary and he considered his fellow worshipers as his closest friends.  He loved everyone there as family.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Mary Dell Garner, and the love of his life Shirley Campbell Garner whom he met while attending Wylie High School.  They were truly each other's sweethearts and were a blessing to each other for 46 plus years.  Frank is survived by his brother Richard Garner and wife Vicki of Blue Ridge, 3 sons, Brian Garner and wife Christy of Trenton, James Garner of Whitesboro and Paul Garner of Princeton.  Frank had 8 grandchildren, Hailey Garner of McKinney, Cole Garner of Trenton, Denis Garner of Trenton, Lainey Garner of Whitesboro, Landry Garner of Whitesboro, Mayson Paluga of Mckinney, Kennedy Garner of Princeton, and Gavin Garner of Princeton.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, May 6, 2024 at First Christian Church Wylie with Brother David Etheredge officiating.  Burial will follow at the Wylie Cemetery, in Wylie, Texas.  Pallbearers will be Jeff Garner, Jason Garner, Justin Garner, Cole Garner, Lance Campbell, and Randy Cook.  The family will receive friends and family on May 5, 2024 from 4-6PM at the Allen Funeral Home in Wylie, Texas.
