Gerald "Jerry" Lee Houser was born on August 17, 1943 in Wilmington, Delaware and passed away at the age of 79 on October 27, 2022 in Rowlett, Texas.

After his high school graduation, he served the United States as a sailor in the US Navy from 1960-1964.  After Jerry's naval service he spent the bulk of his professional career with the US Defense Department where he helped design tomahawks.  He married the love of his life, Cora Pohl Houser, September 9, 1967, and they raised their 3 children and built a life together for 55 years.  Jerry was a protector and caretaker who loved his family deeply.  He loved to sit in his favorite recliner while watching John Wayne westerns on the TV or listening to Hank Williams croon away on the radio. Asking Jerry a question could almost always guarantee a "You bet!" reply from him with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.  He is fiercely loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Thomas Houser and Florence Elizabeth Kaucher, brother Charles Thomas Houser Jr, and sister Carolyn Rodriguez.  He is survived by his wife Cora Houser, his son Jeffrey Trujillo, his daughters Kimberly Wallace and Jennifer Bailey, grandchildren Christopher Trujillo, Alicia Trujillo, Celena Trujillo, Avery Bailey, and Noah Bailey, great grandchildren Connor and Ryan Trujillo, and several nieces and nephews.  Jerry's Memorial Service will be held at Allen Funeral Home in Wylie, TX on November 17, 2022 at 12:00 PM.
