Gwendolyn Jones, 90, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away in Cape Coral on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.  She was born on Wednesday, August 29, 1928 in Rockwall, Texas.  Gwendolyn's parents are the late Willie Walter Carr and Minnie (Blue) Carr. She was raised in the Wylie area and married Riley Lee Jones.  Riley preceded her in death. She had worked as a lunch room attendant. Gwendolyn was of the Baptist faith.

Gwendolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Cindy Jones of Cape Coral, Florida and a legacy of 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Walter and Minnie (Blue) Carr, her husband, Riley Lee Jones, her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Vicki Jones, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Kyle Winn and 7 brothers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 1:30 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  Her funeral service will commence at 3:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. A. L. Draper officiating.  Gwendolyn will be laid to rest at the Big A Cemetery in Rowlett.
