Henry Dorris, 82, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Carthage, Texas. He was born Wednesday September 18, 1940 in Toone, Tennessee.  His parents are the late James Buford and Hazel (Mayfield) Dorris.  He had been in the USMC where he honorably discharge on July 13, 1962 with the rank as a Lance Corporal.  Because of his friendly natural  and his technical knowledge worked in sales.  He was a member of the Southern Baptist faith. Henry had spent many years in the Wylie area before moving to Carthage to be closer to his family.

Surviving Henry is his daughter Angela Dorris and son, Viktor Dorris and his wife Adrienne, sister Rosemary Bishop of Tennessee; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Preceding him in death are his parents James and Hazel Dorris, Wife Truddy and Judy and son, Henry "Hank" A.Dorris Jr.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the Allen Funeral Home with his funeral service following at 11:00  A.M.. Burial will be in the Wylie Cemetery.
