Ina May Cole passed with peace at home on December 31, 2020 in Wylie, Texas. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis many years prior and fought a strong and courageous battle until the end.

While we are most saddened by her loss, we are comforted that dad (Bill Cole) has been waiting a long time to see her again, and she him. Left to carry Ina's spirit – and we will – are her children Billy Cole (Kim), and Bobby Cole - Brother Lawrence Cherry, Jim Cherry and sister Bertha Leigh - her three grandchildren; Amanda Manning (Matt), Sierra Brown (Michael), Trever Cole (Meagan), and step grandchildren Amanda and Ashley Tulloch - her great grandchildren Nevaeh, Cayden, Skylar, River, Emery, Colten, Cooper and Brooks. She was preceded in death by sister Kay Baily and brother Sonny Cherry.

Ina's infectious laugh will be missed the most, yet she could also laugh at herself, teaching us the importance of this in a life well lived. She was involved in every aspect of raising her children: this passion of being a mother became her work. She worked her way up from day care teacher to regional director at La Petite Academy at a young age. She opened and set up many day cares all over the country. True to form, many of Mom's achievements could only be found by way of plaques tucked behind stacks of ironed linen in a closet at home, including photos and memories of the many trips all over the world she won because of her outstanding work and sales. She had a heart and soul that family, friends and caregivers will miss deeply.

We will miss our dear mom, grandmother, sister and friend Ina. May she and Bill be at peace on the shores of Hawaii. A memorial celebration of Ina's life will be held at Allen Funeral Home on January 22, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Ina's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many doctors and nurses that cared for her, and to Ina's special friend and caregiver, Sylvia and Debbie, for their loving care and attentiveness for keeping mom happy and comfortable to the very end.
