Iris Sue Anderson Cooper was born on March 24, 1933 to a pioneering family who settled the Rose Hill/Rowlett area.  She was preceded in death by parents Violet Wolford Anderson and Luther Herbert Anderson; sisters Fern Routh, Altha Anderson, and Jasmine Moody; brother Glenn Anderson; and grandson Jeffrey Cooper.

Sue is survived by her husband of 67 years, Raymond B. Cooper; daughter Jan Morgan and husband David, sons Chris Cooper and wife Debra and Mark Cooper and wife Debbie; grandchildren Elizabeth Knapp, Jonathan Morgan, Jacob Cooper, Emily George, Audrey Daniels, Ben Cooper, Amber Foster, and Ashley Thurmond; great grandchildren Cooper and Meredith Knapp, Nolan and Nora Morgan, Katelyn Monden, Max, Stella, and Marlee Cooper, Nathan, Owen, and Samuel George, Noah and Paige Daniels, Chloe Foster, and several nieces and nephews.

In their early marriage, Sue assisted in the start up of the family business, Universal Transformer Co., using her secretarial and accounting skills. Also, she worked several years for the Garland ISD as a secretary and later worked part time as an accountant. Her hobbies were music, books, and crocheting. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed having family get-togethers and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren coming to visit. She was loved.

Visitation is Monday, September 30, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie United Methodist Church.  The funeral service is Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. also at the Wylie United Methodist Church.  Sue will be buried at the Wylie Cemetery.
