James Gilbert Cron of Sachse, TX passed away on April 24, 2019 at his residence.  James was born September 24, 1939 in Piqua, Ohio to parents Howard and Mary Cron.  The family moved to Dallas and he graduated from Sunset High School in 1958.  James enlisted in the Air Force in 1957 and served until 1963.  After being honorably discharged from the Air Force he returned to Dallas where he soon joined the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.  He was a Commander in the Crime Scene Search Section and he worked for the Sheriff's Department for over 30 years

Surviving James is his wife, Patsy Jo McMillan-Cron, children Michelle Springer and spouse, Gary and daughter, Katrina Chapo and his brother, John Cron.  He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church-Wylie, Draper Chapel.  Dr. A. L. Draper officiating.
