James Dwight Smith, 75, longtime resident of Wylie passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 5, 2019.  Dwight was born in Culleoka, Texas on May 5, 1944.  His parents are the late Jim Dee Smith and Inez Gibson Smith.  Dwight retired from the United States Postal Service where he had been a mail carrier.

Dwight is survived by his children, Stephanie Johnson of Wylie, Samuel Smith of Wylie and Eric Smith of Nevada; sister, Sheila Martin of Princeton and brother, Gary Smith of Wylie and 6 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
