Jeffrey Paul Herod, Sr., 45, of Terrell, Texas passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at his residence.  Jeffrey was born in McKinney, Texas on March 13, 1971 to Virginia (Morgan) Herod and the late, James Alexander Herod.  Jeffrey worked as a Fire Alarm Inspector.  In his spare time, he loved to hunt duck and deer.  Jeffrey was of the Baptist faith.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Virginia Herod; his children, Jeffrey Paul Herod, Jr., Michael Chase Herod, Austin Glynn Petty, Sklar Sue Ann Velez, Ashley Blaine LaCaze, Ashley Monique Herod, Alyssa Eileen Zobrest and Anna Marie Petty; his grandchildren, Christie Eileen Herod, Rylee James Velez, Charlie Lane Velez, Noelle Serynn Altamirano, Nolan Wayne LaCze and Liam Blake Hunter; and other family members and friends.

Visitation for Jeffrey is Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  His funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Royse City Cemetery.
