Jerry A. Thompson, 56, of Nevada, Texas passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, July 26, 2019.  Jerry was born on Tuesday, August 21, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Jerry Clyde Thompson and Connie Joyce Thompson. Jerry married Louanna Jean Hutchings on August 25, 1984 in East Texas.  Jerry had worked for JC Penney. Jerry was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Weaver Baptist Church in Weaver, Texas.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Louanna Thompson of Nevada; son Christopher Thompson of Nevada; mother Connie Joyce Thompson of Cookville, Texas and brother, James Aubrey Thompson also of Cooksville.  Jerry was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.  A graveside service will be at the Nevada Cemetery on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.
