RD Jewell Norris age 92 of Wylie, TX passed away on August 7, 2020. Jewell was born on October 2, 1927 in Vernon, TX to Claude and Ethel (Cox) Anderson. She was raised in Bennington, OK and moved to Wylie in 1955 with her husband Jim.

Jewell loved her town and all of her friends at First Baptist Wylie. She was the happiest when she was cooking for family or planning for a special event. She once made over 30 pies for Happy Circle and took a wedding cake all the way to California for her grandson, Adam's, wedding.

Jewell loved her family and was an amazing wife to Jim and mother to Barbara, Loy, and Danny while also helping anyone who needed her help with a shower, wedding, or taking food to someone ill!

Jewell was accomplished at pretty much anything she wanted to master. She was a talented seamstress and worked at Johnston's sewing factory for several years. She moved across the street and started working at the Wylie Flower Shop until she decided to start her own wedding cake business.

She was so very proud of each and every wedding cake she made. She poured her heart into making sure they were just as the bride envisioned for her special day.

Jewell is survived by her husband, Jim, of 66 years. Brother: Hubert Anderson, of Wylie. Her children: Barbara and Mark Wise, Loy and Pam Norris, and Danny Norris. Grandchildren: Adam and Kristen Wise, Jonathan and Valerie Howell, Hailey Norris, Blaine and Amy Coffee, Holly and Jarrod Hulett, and Trevor Coffee. Jewell loved each of her 14 great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews along with special friends to the family Pam, Danny and Cole Wells.

Preceded in death by parents Claude and Ethel (Cox) Anderson. Brothers: Robert, Junior, Manford, KG, Mack, Ralph, Charley, Les, and Butch. Sisters: Marie, Sally, and Maxine.

Pallbearers are Adam Wise, Jonathan Howell, Steve Kelso, Mark Anderson, Kenny Anderson, and Gary Anderson.
