Jimmy Floyd Stedman, 79, of Garland, Texas passed away in Dallas on Thursday, September 19, 2019.  Jimmy was born in Denton, Texas on Thursday, July 11, 1940.  His parents were the late Floyd and Thelma Stedman. He married Dora "Geneva" Gothard. Jimmy and Geneva raised their daughter, Joyce and stepchildren, Larry, Lawana, Nancy, Judy and Kenny in Garland.  Jimmy was a hard working and loving man.  He was a forklift operator prior to retiring.  Jimmy enjoyed going to the racetrack to watch car racing.

Jimmy is survived by daughter, Joyce Moreno; stepchildren, Larry Rogers, Nancy Kuglar and Judy Winnery; 15 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.  Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Thelma Stedman, wife, Geneva Stedman, stepdaughter, Lawanna Grandstaff and stepson, Kenny Rogers.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. also at Allen Funeral Home.  Dr. A. L. Draper will officiate. Following the funeral service Jimmy will be laid to rest at the Wylie Cemetery.
