Jimmy Ray Thurman, 73,  passed away in Rowlett, Texas on August 24, 2020.  Jimmy was born in Dallas on July 23, 1947 to his late parents, James Emmit O'Flannagan and Betty Marie (Elliot) O'Flannagan.  Jimmy served in the United States Army.  Jimmy was handy with his hands so he was a handyman fixing things for other people who couldn't do it themselves.

Jimmy is survived by his spouse Josephine Betts of Wylie and his children, Rick Betts of Port Orchard, Washington, Jimmy Thurman of Garland, Texas and Sandy Smith of Moore, Oklahoma.  He also leaves behind his 6 brothers; Tommy Lee Thurman, Charles Askew, Randy Askew, Michael Askew, Jerry Askew, and Robert O'Flannagan; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
