Joann D. Simmons age 90, passed away in Richardson, Texas on February 3, 2025. Joann was born in Dibble, Oklahoma on February 28, 1934 to Edgard Howeth and Eva Mae Bacon.

She is survived by her Husband AB Simmons of Wylie, Texas, Children; Jan Simmons of Wylie, Texas , Roger Simmons and Wife Kathy of Mesquite, Texas, Brothers; Harvey Howeth and Wife Linda of Comanche, Oklahoma, Reverend Joey Howeth and Wife Peggy of Purcell, Oklahoma, Grandchildren; Ashley Tanner and Husband Russell, Amy Simmons and Husband Jerry, Aaron Simmons, 1 Great Granddaughter; Chloe Tanner and 1 Adopted Great Granddaughter Emory Jackson. Joann also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many life long friends.

Joann accepted christ at 13, she moved to Wylie in 1952. Joann joined FBC Wylie 1954 then joined First Christian Church in 2022 and became an elder in 2024. She always ver involved in her church. Joann went to college in her middle age and graduated with honors and in the Nursing Program. Joann Retired Nursing in 1964. She was very athletic all her life, played softball, basketball and started playing Tennis at the age of 55. She went to Senior World Series and got 5th place in the women's division. She was very family oriented, never sick until 2019 and diagnosed with Cancer, she got treated with chemo and radiation, she passed with her husband holding her hand and children, friends present.
