Jodie P. Ross,, 91, of Wylie passed away at his home on Monday, August 19, 2019.  Jodie was born on June 1, 1928 also in Wylie to his late parents, Joe Cobb Ross and Emma Catherine Ross.  Jodie grew up here and made this his home when he married Norma Cunningham.  Jodie worked at Safeway in the maintenance department.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Jodie is survived by daughters, Katherine Helton, Shirley McCarroll and Letha Walls; step-daughters Pam, Peggy, Paula and Patricia.  He leaves his legacy of 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and many other family members.  Jodie was preceded in death by parents, Joe Cobb and Emma Catherine Ross, wife, Norma Ross;daughter, Peggy McCarroll and 2 brothers and 4 grandchildren.

The visitation is Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Gene Ross and Lagene Ross officiating.  Jodie will be laid to rest next to his wife Norma in the Wylie Cemetery.
