Joe S. Guzman, 82, of Rowlett Texas was called to his eternal rest on February 16, 2022 in Dallas Texas.  Joe was born in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, Mexico migrated to Edinburg, Texas and in 1953 to Wylie, Texas where he attended school.

Joe worked at Allied Aviation Fueling Co. of Dallas Texas for 45 years.   He was dedicated to his work and was presented a perfect attendance award from 1965 through 1983.

In 1963 Joe married, Mattie Howland, they lived in Rowlett for 58 years and had two sons, Richard and Keith.

Joe loved animals raising cattle, goats, chickens, rabbits and quails just to name a few. He enjoyed working in his garden and sharing what he grew with family and neighbors.

He is survived by his wife Mattie of 58 years and son Keith Guzman of Seattle, Washington, brothers Robert (Lupe) and his wife Sylvia Guzman, of Sachse, Alex and his wife Mary Guzman of Irving, Alfonzo Jr. and his wife Esmeralda Guzman of Rowlett, his sisters Frances Trevino of Rowlett, Cora and her husband Carlos Leal of Mesquite and several nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Joe Richard Guzman and his parents Alfonzo Sr. and Herlinda M. Guzman, his brothers Angel Mario Guzman Sr. and Francisco Guzman, his sisters Ana Maria Garza and her husband Joe, Maria Inez (Nena) DeLeon and her husband Anselmo, his brother in law Claro Trevino and his nephew Angel Mario Guzman Jr.

Due to the pandemic the family cordially request that mask be worn even if you are vaccinated for everyone safety.
