Jose Luis Garcia Sr passed away peacefully in Dallas Texas on Friday April 26th 2024 at the age of 75. Jose was born on June 5th, 1948 in Tampico, Tamps Mexico to Felipe Garcia Rios and Sara Herrera Olvera. Jose married the love of his life, Maria Guillermina Sanchez-Ponce, on December 11th 1975 in Cd Victoria Tamps, Mexico. Jose was a very involved member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lavon, Texas.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents Felipe and Sara Garcia Herrera and his three siblings Sara, Felipe and Lola Garcia Herrera. Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Guillermina Sanchez-Ponce and his sons and their wives, Luis Felipe and Juanis Garcia, Jose Luis Jr and Andrea Garcia, Eduardo and Lorena Torea and Hugo and Kelly Torea. As well as his sister Carmen Garcia Herrera, brother Antonio Garcia Herrera, cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Jose was a proud and loving grandfather to twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Grands are Garrett Torea, Joshua Torea, Preston Torea, Jazmine Garcia, Grace Garcia, Jocelyne Garcia, Alan Torea, Makenna Torea, Jackelyne Garcia, Gisselle Garcia, Galilea Garcia, Luis Felipe Jr Garcia and his great-grand daughter Estrella Bella.

Jose will be truly missed by all, but we know he is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
