Juanita Rowland

Juanita Jean was born December 3, 1932, in Mabank, TX, to James and Antonio Humphries.  She was one of eleven children and later attended high school in Garland, TX.  At the age of 16 she married Marvin (Putt) Rawlings.  Within a couple of years, the young couple had become parents of two little boys, Mike and Ronnie.  Juanita attended cosmetology school and was an active member in the Eastern Star, Wylie Fire Department Family and the First Baptist Church - Wylie Happy Circle Group.

Throughout her life she lived in many different areas of Texas all which she called home and made life-long friendships along the way.  After the death of her first husband, she went on to find her second love and married Floyd Rowland.  In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family.  In the final years of her very full life, she moved to Greenville, TX to be closer to family.  Juanita left this world on the afternoon of October 4, 2021.  She leaves behind a host of friends and family who will cherish her memory and carry the love she shared with them forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and 2 husbands.  She is survived by sister, Joyce Cupp of Italy, TX, son, Mike Rawlings and wife Sandra of Greenville, TX, son, Ronnie Rawlings and wife Debra of Ft. Myers, FL, 6 grandchildren and spouses, 19 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 P. M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Her funeral service will on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. also in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Pastor Robert Ingram will officiate.  Juanita will be laid to rest in the Wylie Cemetery.
