Juanita passed away at the age of 72 on September 23, 2022 in Wylie, Texas.  Juanita had been born in the small south Texas town of Alice on Monday September 4th.  Her parents are the late Zaragosa T. and Francisca G. Garcia.

After high school and while raising her son Chris, Juanita found time to get her license as a dental hygienist and worked her way up to be an assistant to the dentist while he was performing surgeries. Juanita always strived to do her best.

She is survived by her son Chris Slocum and Chris's wife, Robin of Wylie.

She will be remembered as a kind person and willing to help when she could.
