Judith (Judy) Akin Robertstad, 72, of Dallas, TX, passed away June 25, 2025. She was born in Kansas City, MO on October 30, 1952. Judy attended high school at MacArthur High School in Irving, TX, and graduated college from University of Texas at Arlington in 1974. She received her MBA from University of Dallas. Judy completed a career in the banking and financial industries upon her retirement in 2018.

Judy was married to J.D. Davis from 1983 until his passing in 2016 and was a devoted stepmother to Kim Davis and Cheryl Meador. She married Arnie Robertstad on March 28, 2021. Judy greatly enjoyed spending the last chapter of her earthly life with Arnie.

Judy was a radiant light in every room she entered, known for her impeccable style and love of fashion - always dressed to the nines. She adored shopping, especially when she could share that joy with her granddaughters, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Beyond her flair, she found joy in many hobbies and cherished time spent with her family above all else. She had a beautiful voice and played the piano with grace, often filling her home with music that reflected her joyful spirit. Her warmth, positivity, and vibrant presence were a breath of fresh air to all who knew her. It's also quite appropriate to mention that her two brothers teased her and treasured her, even though she got a piano and they got harmonicas. Most of all, Judy loved Jesus Christ with all of her heart, and her deep faith was the foundation of her life.

Judy is survived by her husband Arnie Robertstad; stepdaughters Kim (Davis) and Cheryl Meador (John); Diane McGown; brothers Jerry Akin and Terry Akin (Sue); nieces and nephews Jennifer Akin Kaufman, Jackson Akin, Joanna Akin, Keller Akin; great niece Elizabeth, and great nephew Henry; granddaughters Morgan Smith (Scott), Mackenzie Wilhide (Brandon), Mason Jolesch (Austin), Montana Stoltz (Mark), and great grandchildren Owen, Henry, James, Ford, Miller, Briggs, Parker, Scottie, Remington, and Beau.

Judy is also survived by Arnie's children Samuel Robertstad (Stephanie), Janice Gilbert (Eric), Lauren Vaught (Chris), John Robertstad (Rachel), Karen Bibby (Sean), and Thomas Robertstad, daughter in law Julie Robertstad, and grandchildren Bailey, Preston, Chloe, Riley, Sarah, Jack, Henry, Luke, Claire, and Charlie.

A viewing will be held Monday, June 30, from 6-8 PM at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 7020 Gaston Ave. Dallas, TX 75218. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 1, at 10:00 AM, also at Lakewood Presbyterian Church. A burial service will be held at Millwood Cemetery, 11480 Co Rd 535 Lavon, TX 75166, at 1:00 PM, following the funeral service. Memorial gifts in Judy's honor can be made to the Kay O'Keefe Scholarship Fund at Lakewood Presbyterian School, or local animal rescue organizations.
