Judy K. Korkmas, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, in Wylie, Texas, surrounded by the love of her children. Born on September 2, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Patrick and Marguerite Henery, Judy's life was rooted in devotion—to her family, her work, and her community.

Judy attended W.W. Samuell High School and later began her career at LTV Corp., where she met the love of her life, Joseph K. Korkmas, Jr. and they married September 22, 1967. Together, they built a home filled with love, warmth, laughter, and the joy of raising their four children. Joseph preceded her in death, but their enduring love remained a guiding light throughout her life.

A dedicated mother, Judy, poured her heart into caring for her family while also pursuing her passion for cosmetology. She attended cosmetology school and went on to spend many years bringing beauty and kindness to others through her work at Patsy's Hair Fashions. Later, she continued her caring spirit in a nursing home and long-term care facility, where her compassion touched many lives.

Judy's generous heart extended far beyond her family. She gave her time selflessly, volunteering on the school board, supporting her church, and participating in countless school activities for her children. She will be remembered for her gentle strength, her unwavering love, and her ability to make everyone feel cared for and valued.

She is lovingly survived by her sister, Sandra Rives, her children, Anissa St. Clair and her husband Michael, Carissa Gavett and her husband Michael, Joseph K. Korkmas III and his wife Kelli, and Sharla Korkmas. Judy's legacy continues through her six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
