Obituary for Kay Smith

Jetta Kay Smith was born December 4, 1959 in San Pedro, California.

She lived in Plano, TX the last 15 years with her husband Brad Smith, and her beloved dogs.  Kay passed away on Saturday evening, March 18th from complications with lung cancer.

She was the youngest daughter of 6 children.  Kay was an amazing woman; a wife, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, friend, ally, advocate, business owner, healer and so much more.  She was a lover of all animals, but especially dogs. She was also a superior mother to her children and to her own little fur babies.

She had a kind, gentle and giving heart all mixed up with a warrior spirit. Feisty and relentless, a perfectionist with so many talents and hobbies.  But her main focus was her clients and helping them to live a healthier life.  She made a huge impact in this world by helping others realize their talent and potential and spreading her knowledge to others.

We are comforted to know that Kay is reunited in Heaven with her only son Jeremy Northrip, niece Brooke Waits, mother Jetta Prescott, brother Eric Lowther, father Sherwood Prescott and her in-laws James and Helen Smith.

Kay, mom, mama, Mimi is survived by the love of her life and husband Brad Smith, her 3 surviving daughters, her 14 grandchildren, 4 siblings and their families:

We will be holding a funeral service for Kay on Wednesday, March 29th, 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS in Plano.

3401 Los Rios Blvd.

Plano, TX 75074

We are asking in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the SPCA in her name.

We are also asking that to help celebrate Kay's life that you wear her favorite color pink instead of the traditional dark colors.
