Kevin Sherman, 67, of Richardson, TX, passed away on March 16, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Kevin was born on February 27, 1957 to Albert and Carole Jeanne Sherman in Castro Valley, CA. After Kevin graduated from Memorial High School, Newark, CA in 1975, he went on to study biology at Abilene Christian University.

In 1975, Kevin met Lucy (Whitman) the love of his life at Abilene Christian University. They were married April 28, 1979 and went on to have three boys, Andrew Thomas, Lorin Edward and Brent Allen.

After getting married and having 3 boys he returned to school where he graduated with a degree in nursing from Texas Women's University. He was a nurse for 26 years. He spent the last 22 of those years working in the Urology department at UT Southwestern.

In 2023, Kevin retired and spent his time gardening which he was extremely gifted at doing, cross stitching, working on several remodeling projects and napping on the coach with the family dogs Bella and Noel.

Kevin was predeceased by his father Albert Sherman, his mother Carole Sherman and his brother Pat Sherman. He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years Lucy (Whitman) Sherman, sons Andrew Thomas Sherman, Lorin Edward Sherman and Brent Allen Sherman, his Grandson Micah Edward Sherman, his brothers Bruce Sherman, Sean Sherman and sister Kathy Carlton. Kevin is also survived by several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 21st from 6 – 8 at the Allen Funeral Home in Wylie. Graveside will be Friday March 22nd at 10:00 at the same location. Services will follow at 2:00 at the Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the family's meal train, Waterview Church of Christ missionary fund, or the American Kidney Fund. The family of Kevin wishes to thank all of the nurses, doctors and other medical staff at Methodist Hospital Richardson who worked so hard to treat him and the T Boone Pickens Faith Presbyterian Hospice for all the time they spent with Kevin even though it was short, and the care they gave during the heartbreaking final moments of Kevin's life.
