Laura Louise McCoy, 74, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 in Richardson, Texas.  She was born in Presque Isle, Maine on Friday, October 5, 1945.

Laura is survived by her husband of 56 years, William D. McCoy of Wylie, Texas, her son Ted A. McCoy, her granddaughter Naomi M. McCoy and grandson, William A. McCoy in Carrollton, Texas. Also, by her brother Edward Jones, sister Jennifer Fisher, brother Michael Jones, and sister Clara Caulfield.  And by her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Edward Jones and mother Clara Jett.  Also, her brother Roger Jones and infant brother.

Over the years Laura enjoyed church, sewing, gardening, some travel, and homemaking.

"Many remember her as one of the sweetest persons they knew.  She taught me to care for others, be forgiving, and generous.  Please remember the fond memories you may have of her.  Her son, Ted Allen."

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  A celebration of Laura's life will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Laura will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery in Lavon, Texas.
