L.E. "Buddy" Rogers was born on March 08, 1929 in Gunter, Texas. Buddy passed away at his home in Wylie on Thursday, May 24, 2018. To quote his granddaughter Leiza, he passed away "holding the hand of the woman he loved in the house that he made with the same hands."

Buddy was a Korean War veteran, a diesel mechanic, and a member of the Teamsters brotherhood. His favorite color was blue. He loved:

• Cars, motorcycles, four-wheelers, and anything with wheels.
• Working in his garden
• Raising his bees
• Listening to music; playing guitar and piano
• Playing dominos with his family
• Watching the Von Erich's wrestle every Saturday

In his older days he loved to spend time with his friends at the Donut Cravers.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joyce Rogers along with 7 children, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel, 508 Masters Avenue in Wylie, Texas.

A private graveside memorial service for the family is planned. Buddy's pallbearers will be his grandsons and the honorary pallbearer is Willie Nelson.
