Lloyd Wayne Myers was born in Dallas on April  10, 1938, to Lloyd Glen Myers and Nellie Merle Ivy.  He attended Rose Hill school and later Garland High School.  He graduated from Garland High School in 1956.  He started work for Central Freight Lines the summer after graduation and spent 25 years there.  The remainder of his work experience, he worked as a courier in and around the Dallas area.  After retirement, he moved to Holly Lake Ranch in East Texas and lived there for 30 years. He spent most of his time playing golf.  He was passionate about it.  One of the highlights of his life was attending a practice round of the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA.    He is survived by his wife, Evelyn White Myers.  In  addition, from his first marriage, his son, David Myers and wife Julie, daughters Shari Myers Cobb and Karla Myers.  A grandson, Zachary Myers and wife Shannon and a great granddaughter, Madilyn. He is survived also by his brother, Johnny Myers and wife Vicki. In addition to these treasured family members, he played a large role in the lives of the family he acquired when he married for the second time.  His stepson Steve Ayers and wife Carole and stepdaughter Carrie Ayers.  Step grandsons Brad Ayers and wife Kayla, Travis Ayers, Josh Ayers, Matt Ayers and wilfe Jade, and Eric Scheibenhoffer. Also step granddaughters Brandy Ayers, Katie Scheibenhoffer and Jocie Ayers.  His memorial service will be at Cavalry Baptist Church, 1632 New Market Rd in Mesquite, TX on Tuesday, April 30 at 1:00 pm.  Pastor Duane Myers officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Wylie Cemetery, Wylie, Tx with a private graveside service on Tuesday, April 30, at 10:00 am.
