Lois Jean Swartz of Wylie peacefully passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 in her home in Wylie, Texas.  She was only 20 days shy of her 80 ^th birthday.  Lois was born in Worthington, Minnesota on November 28, 1940 to parents Frank Carl Ponto and Geraldine Fern (Hutton) Ponto.  Lois grew up in Belton, Missouri where she graduated from Belton High School in 1957 and had kept in touch with many school friends until her death.  Lois was a graduate of Texas Woman's University in 1987 graduating with her Bachelor of Science.  Lois went on to become a very proud Registered Nurse.

Lois married the love of her life, James D. Swartz, in Plano, Texas on May 11, 1984.  Lois and Jim moved to Wylie, Texas in 1987 and became very involved in the community where she serviced on the board of the Wylie Public Library among other city organizations.

Lois is survived by her Husband, Jim, daughter Laura J. Swartz, daughter's fiancé, Rick Kuszewski, son Erin Phalen and stepson, Larry Swartz.

Lois was an avid reader.  She enjoyed acting and singing in community theater alongside her husband.  Lois was very proud of her loving family and friends and was at peace stating she had a wonderful life.  She will be remembered for her gracious and loving heart, warm smile, generous spirit and zest for life and laughter.

There will be no service held at this time.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation to help fight breast cancer.
