Lula Morene Ray Norman

August 31, 1939 – July 28, 2025

At the age 85 and 329 days

Morene Norman went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 28, 2025.  Morene was born August 31st, 1939 in Clarita, Oklahoma to OB (Jake) and Irene Ray.  Morene grow up in southern Oklahoma.  She graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1957.  Morene married and moved to Texas where she started and raised her family in the Liberty Grove area.

Morene worked in electronic assemble most of her life.  She worked at Texas Transformer for 19 years and finished up her career as a independent contractor.

Morene was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and lived by her savior word.

Morene was a member of Cottonwood Church of Christ from 1967 till 2017 when moved her membership to Reno Church of Christ in 2017 till present.

Morene was the strongest lady I have ever known and she has raised two ladies as strong as her.

Morene was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She loved with her whole heart.

Morene's #1 love was her Lord and Savior.

Morene is survived by her husband Gary Norman; daughters, Jackie Huls and husband Chris, Brenda Ely and husband Scott; sister, Faye Kite; brother, Baker Ray and wife Shirley; grandchildren, James Mardis, Eric Mardis, Jenni Zuck, Keli Murry, Shane Murry; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren.

Morene was proceeded in death by son, Johnny Buckner; parents OB and Irene Ray; siblings, Earnest Jack Ray, John Ray, Edward Ray, Eugene Ray, Orvel Ray, Jake Ray, Leona Sue Morgan and Dorthey Brown.
