Luz Elena Villanueva-Rivera, 34, of Dallas passed away at her home on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Luz  was born in Mexico on March 11, 1983 to her parents, Ventura Rivera and Petra Villanueva Rivera.

Luz worked in the banking industry as a Consumer Banker.  She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Luz was always looked up to by her brothers and sisters.  They said she was always there for them as they were growing up and making sure they did what was right.

Luz is survived by her parents, Ventura and Petra Rivera; her children, Alejandra Rosas and Isabella Aranda; 3 brothers, Sergio Rivera, Victor Rivera and Antonio Rivera; and her 4 sisters, Yolanda Rivera Rafael, Abigail Rivera, Anahi Rivera and Angelica Rivera.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Father Perez officiating.  The funeral service for Elena will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  Father Perez will also conduct the funeral service.
